ACROSS THE NORWOOD BRIDGE

Across the Norwood Bridge,

In the clear spring morning sun,
We walked downtown, Gord and me,
For the mystery and the miles and miles of fun.

Above the highway sounds,
To the traffic’s roar, we sang our song.
Our dreams unfold, one by one.
In harmony, we helped ourselves along.

Alive and without fear,
Through the door left open wide,
We stepped outside to wonder why.
From the banks we watched the muddy Red roll by.

Dream on boys.
Dream on boys.
Dream about those golden summers,
And the tear-filled winter nights.
Dream of friendships won in glory,
And of women lost in love.
Dream on boys.

I love the never-ending sight,
Of young faces shining bright.
We lived and loved, loud and clear,
In the fiery dawn, and the purple magic night.

Across the Norwood Bridge,
In the clear spring morning sun,
We walked downtown, Gord and me,
For the mystery and the miles and miles of fun.

Dream on boys
